Whene'er I think of Hanley Grange I think that it is very strange That such a vile monstrosity Should be imposed on you and me. The author of this ghastly town Is aptly surnamed Gordon BROWN, For in my life I've never seen A man with attitudes less green, And if green words he utters, he Is full of mere hypocrisy. He thinks that it's a clever trick To smother countryside in brick, And then goes on without a pause To bulldoze through the planning laws, So local people have no choice And no one listens to their voice. New Labour is no country lover And thinks it's swell to concrete over Wherever peaceful people live Who tend to vote conservative. In Sawston, Chesterford and Hinxton The people have their eyes all fixed on What dreadful things may happen here To quiet fields they hold so dear. But all's not up - let's not despair, Let's wash this louse out of our hair! We will not tamely sit and wait To see the horrors of our fate. Stop Hanley Grange dead in its track! For CAMBRIDGESHIRE IS FIGHTING BACK!!! |
